Day Six - More Chillin'...
It's a day of chilling out - sea, sun... lazing around the swimming pool and not doing a whole lot but reading (on my third book already) and soaking up some rays. The time that we were supposed to go to Kuta comes and goes as we snooze in our room.
I feel incredibly guilty for doing this as I'm painfully aware that we haven't ventured out of Nusa Dua yet. I'm desperate to see the breathtaking views and sights that northern Bali has to offer, yet our bodies simply don't appear to be ready for much more than relaxing and sleeping. Sure, we could force ourselves to do things, but the object of holidays is to recharge as well, so to go out and wear ourselves dry would be ultimately defeatist. Although our Singapore stopover helped us to accommodate the time differences in our bodies, they also need unwinding - and frankly, it's best not to argue.
I'm frustrated and a bit annoyed with myself, feeling I've let myself down, but the fact is that we have got plenty of time left. And that sun and pool is soooo inviting.
To make matters worse, Lisa's not feeling 100% at the moment. We're not sure what it is, and it's hopefully something ineffectual. It's worrying all the same though. With only ten days here we really don't want bugs flying around that will incapacitate us.
